An oiled finish soaks into the wood instead of sitting on top of it. That means scratches can be sanded out at home, and the surface feels like wood rather than plastic.
What you need
A soft cloth, a fine sanding pad and the tin of hardwax oil we send with every order. Rub a thin coat in with the grain, wait ten minutes, and wipe off what has not soaked in.
